IDG Wins Public Call for the Management of the CultSP Pro Program
The IDG has won the public call for the implementation and management of the CultSP Pro program – Schools of Professionals and Cultural Entrepreneurs, initiated by the Government of the State of São Paulo. This initiative will cover the entire state, offering diverse courses tailored to the needs of each cultural segment, in response to the growing demand for qualification in the creative industry sector.
According to the Secretary of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries, Marília Marton, the program is the result of extensive dialogue with various segments of the creative industry and cultural managers. "We identified the need for a new training proposal that meets the specific demands of each region of the State, with courses that contribute to the professionalization and growth of cultural practitioners," she emphasizes.
The courses offered by CultSP Pro will range from 16 hours to 128 hours in various categories: Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Audiovisual, Content and Editorial Production, Music, Museums and Cultural Spaces, Craft Activities, Games and Technology in Arts, Fashion, Heritage, and Traditional Brazilian Gastronomy.
In the capital, the central hub for CultSP Pro will be the Oswald de Andrade building. The space, which already hosts the São Paulo Dance Company, will continue to operate normally and will keep its doors open to the entire artistic community. In the interior regions, the program will be introduced through partnerships with local governments.
Classes will begin in September, initially offering 100 classes across 20 different courses. For the year 2025, the expectation is to expand this number, with 250 classes and more than 50 courses.
Management Contract
The contract with the Government of São Paulo will have a duration of 60 months. The investment planned for CultSP Pro in the second half of 2024 is R$10 million. The total contract value, until 2029, will exceed R$153.6 million.
